Body hair.

Common perception of body hair (i.e. chest and stomach hair... and other places) on men is that it needs to be trimmed, shaved, "manscaped," naired, etc. Whatever the method, common perception is that it should be removed.

What the hell?

I was looking through several polls taken by women, concerning body hair preferences on men. Here are the results:

Age (and this one is important, as this is a fairly new trend):
15-20: 47%
Under 15: 15%
21-25: 14%
Over 30: 14%
26-30: 8%
(out of 218 votes)

Chest Hair: What do you prefer?
A guy with no hair on his chest: 49%
A guy with a little hair in the middle of his chest: 27%
A guy with a really hair chest: 16%
No opinion: 6%

Hair on the stomach:
A trail of hair that goes from the pubic hair up to the bellybutton: 50%
No hair at all: 32%
A lot of hair that continues up to the chest: 11%
No opinion: 5%

Leg Hair:
Hairy legs: 42%
Very little hair on the legs: 35%
Really hairy legs: 15%
No opinion: 6%

Armpit hair:
Very little hair: 41%
Hairy armpits: 37%
Really hairy armpits: 13%
No opinion: 7%

As you can see, the majority of these women have fairly unrealistic expectations of a man's body (except for the legs, for whatever reason). Here's an entertaining thought. Many women complain that if they have to shave their body hair, men should have to also. Take a look at this picture, though:

Here is a picture of the androgenic hair on women's body versus a man's body. As you can see, if the argument is "men should have to shave their body hair, because women have to also," that's not exactly fair. Most men have a hell of a lot more hair than women.

Here are the results from a survey that I conducted through this blog, polling men for the amount of body hair that they have:

Age:
37-49: 33%
18-24: 28%
25-36: 28%
50+: 9%
(out of 21 votes)

How hairy is your face (without shaving)?
Moderately hairy: 27%
Very hairy: 27%
Little to no hair: 22%
Some hair: 22%

How hairy is your chest?
Fairly hairy: 33%
Little to no hair: 23%
Some small hair in middle / around nipples: 23%
Very hairy: 19%

How hairy is your stomach?
Medium trail leading from pubes up to chest: 40%
Little to no hair: 30%
Small trail leading to pubes: 20%
Covered: 10%

How hairy are your pubes?
Pretty hairy: 38%
Very hairy: 33%
Light hair: 15%
Little to no hair: 14%

How hairy are your balls?
Somewhat hairy: 42%
Light hair: 33%
Very hairy: 14%
Little to no hair: 9%

How hairy are your legs?
Fairly hairy: 31%
Some light hair: 26%
Very hairy: 22%
Little to no hair: 21%

How hairy is your ass?
Hairy in crack / on ass: 47%
Some hair in crack: 19%
Completely furry: 19%
Little to no hair: 15%

How hairy are your armpits?
Some hair: 38%
Fairly hairy: 33%
Very hairy: 19%
Little to no hair: 10%

So, this entry really ends in a question: Why are so many people so hung up on body hair on men, who are meant to be hairy?

It's this new generation that believes men should be shaved until they look like plucked chickens.

All too often, bets are placed on "gut feel", and frequently for wildly varying stakes (as opposed to "fixed" (or "level") stakes, without proper assessment of the chances of winning, or without adequate consideration as to how a loss will affect the bettor's bank. Consequently, at the end of each season, the majority of football bettors are poorer than when they started. In view of this, I am now going to make what I consider to be the single most important statement in respect to "Betting to Win":
football betting sports football betting
For all you know, a 12-year-old kid can do better than you. Why? With a limited stash, he has to be careful, so he thinks twice before placing a bet. That's one of the many football betting tips you have to learn. You have to think about the health of your bankroll before you place a bet. You should know how much your bet would earn you. You might fall for placing a £3000 just to win £30! What a disaster. betting football Myth #9: It's never wise to bet on rumors
Reality: Oh, yes it is. For example, if a professional bettor hears a rumor that Peyton Manning has the flu and is too ill to play quarterback for the Colts, he'll quickly bet on Indianapolis' opponent. If the rumor is correct, the gambler has stolen the line on a game that's certain to change. If the rumor is false, then he's played Indianapolis' opponent at a fair price. Since most lines are accurate, the bettor takes little betting risk in chasing a rumor.

There are many ways in which men can get away with playing with their balls, much to the chagrin of wives and girlfriends, and one of them is when they’re playing football. Football, more commonly known as soccer in the United States, has taken most of the world by storm – from being one of Europe’s, South America’s, and Africa’s favorite pastime to being the latest craze in far east Asia and the United States.
